How to setup Hunspell Dictionaries in tinySpell+

This guide shows you how to install a Hunspell dictionary and set it up in tinySpell+. 1. Create a directory dictionaries (you can choose any other name) anywhere on your disk. You can also use any existing directory. Here you can save all your dictionaries. 2. Go to the Hunspell Dictionaries page where you will find a list of many downloadable dictionaries. Click the .zip file of the language you need. This will download a file dict-name.zip to your computer (where dict-name is the dictionary file name). (If you cannot find the dictionary you need in the list - go to the OpenOffice page Search extensions, type in the language in the Search box, open the corresponding dictionary webpage and click on the "Download extension" button. Rename the downloaded dict-name.oxt file to dict-name.zip.) 3. Open the zip file and copy the two files with extensions ".aff" and ".dic" to the directory dictionaries of step 1. Note that you need to copy only these two files (for example, for a US English dictionary copy the files - "en_US.aff" and "en_US.dic"). 4. Load the dictionaries into tinySpell+: Right-click the TS icon in the taskbar and select "Dictionaries...". Check the option "Hunspell". Click the "Setup..." button. Click the "Add..." button and select the ".aff" file of the dictionary that you want to load from the directory dictionaries. The ".dic" file will be loaded automatically. Note that you can change the name and the language tag of each dictionary in the list, and you can also link any dictionary to a secondary dictionary (see here). After you load all the dictionaries that you need - click OK and you are ready to go. Note: Normally tinySpell+ will switch the dictionary automatically when you change the language in the Windows Language bar. You can disable this automatic switching by turning off the option: "Match dictionary to current language" in the Dictionaries dialog box (you will then have to change dictionaries manually).
